T 42
Police are reopening their investigation into disgraced former Labour MP Denis MacShane's expenses. Scotland Yard says it will look again at Mr MacShane's claims in the wake of last year's damning report by the parliamentary standards watchdog. A spokesman said: "We can confirm that following an assessment of the report published by the Standards and Privileges Committee and following liaison with the Crown Prosecution Service, the Metropolitan Police is reopening the investigation." http://news.sky.com/story/1040830/denis-macshane-expenses-investigated-again I'm not clear why the fraud case wasn't pursued first time round. Hopefully justice will be done this time.

Jason Bourne
Now-disgraced ex-MP Denis MacShane was a former member of Labour Friends of israel and was quite in favour of the invasion of Iraq at the time, despite ruling over a sizable Muslim population in Rotherham. Let's see what punishment he gets, shall we?

geared
Which is kind of amusing really, as ten years ago the US invaded Iraq and ten years ago they started really developing fracking. Present day and they find themselves quickly becoming oil independent. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-24935364
Mecky
Jailed for 6 months. Personally I don't think it's long enough http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-25492017 Hanningfield next
Pessimistic1
With 650 MP's does that make it about 0.8% of MP's being jailed? Think this is much higher than the general population? Can anyone do the math? ENGLAND/WALES Total imprisoned 80,002 - Per 100,000 of the population =148. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/spl/hi/uk/06/prisons/html/nn1page1.stm
