Penistone999
I haven't drove in years! Drove more before I had a license! So not only do you admit to driving whilst under the influence of drugs, you also admit to driving without a license and as such no insurance. ? Rampent
It's not that bad, the new limit will be three bottles of whiskey. Up from the previous two bottle limt. That's borderline racist in my book. ---------- Post added 22-01-2013 at 23:31 ---------- So not only do you admit to driving whilst under the influence of drugs, you also admit to driving without a license and as such no insurance. ? Isabelle
I think its a daft idea, and somewhat ageist, what about the younger generation who also live in isolated areas? There are plenty of things that older people could do that don't involve drinking large amounts, also it's not good for their health either. alchresearch
Its a joke, is it completely unreasonable for them to go to the pub but have a soft or hot drink?
choogling
Councillors in south-west Ireland have backed a plan to relax the drink-drive limits for some isolated constituents. The motion backed by Kerry county councillors would allow police to issue permits overriding the legal limit. Councillor Danny Healy-Rae, who proposed the motion, said it would apply to "older people" who "are being isolated now at home, and a lot of them falling into depression". http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21143199 Are they serious? geared
That's borderline racist in my book. Only if you consider the Irish to be another race. Which I do not.
Obelix
Cui bono - how many of the councillors voting for this are pub landlords...? I'll lay odds it's a fairly large number.
