foxy lady
It takes a great deal more than an inch of rain in 24 hours to flood York or Meadowhall I think you will find. As these places regularly flood then I suggest we can often get more than an inch of rain in 24 hours. That was a figure you plucked out of the air. foxy lady
Do they flood with an inch of rain? I never said they did. But as these places regularly flood and the ground is already water logged an extra inch of rain from melting snow would be in addition to any that was falling from the sky. Obelix
So it didn't flood then? After taking a rainfall of well over an inch it didn't in fact flood.
foxy lady
So it didn't flood then? After taking a rainfall of well over an inch it didn't in fact flood. It didn't have the addition of an extra inch of water from the melting snow. But I think you will find that even so much of the 5 weirs walk was washed away by the floods at great cost to the council tax payers of Sheffield. Obelix
I'm glad to see we are happy that an inch of rain - or a foot of snow, won't be flooding Meadowhall then.
