Labour told the UK Statistics Authority Mr Cameron “may be trying to deliberately mislead the public”.

Pot, kettle?

As already mentioned, there's Blair's fictional WMDS, Brown's "no more boom and bust" (not to mention my personal fave, "I will not allow house prices to get out of control" --- this before the biggest house price bubble in British history).

But The Boy Cameron is talking out of his 'arris here. We're not paying down our debt, we're not even cutting back on our spending.

The public finances are deteriorating again, making a mockery of the Coalition’s core purpose. Osborne’s fatal problem is that he is proving unable to deliver any meaningful reduction in the size of the state. The extent of his failure will come as a shock to many. Remarkably, public spending actually went up last year as a share of our national income… public spending hit 49pc of UK GDP last year, a shocking increase on the 48.6pc of GDP spent by the state in 2011. Even with a stagnant economy, this implies that Osborne has lost control of public spending.

Sort of like saying your diet is successful because you’re only gaining two pounds a week rather than five pounds.

We don't just have a spending deficit, we have a leadership deficit as well, and that includes the Milliband Twins and Cleggy.

No one has the necessary balls to do what needs to be done, and that includes Ed.

If you put your faith in any of these clowns, you're a fool.

Prognosis: We is fooked!
