sunny_day
A friend of mine is worried as his daughter is living long term abroad and has given her father's home address (council property) as her home address for banking purposes. Since his daughter is earning a fair amount of money, could his council home be at risk in any way? Are there any other implications to the father as he is quite worried and has not been asked if this is ok with him. Thanks for advice.

sunny_day
I think it's down as 'home address' and I'm guessing this could get her in trouble with the bank but could he also get in trouble and his council home be at risk?
heating-eng
It would depend if he is claiming benefits. If he is then he could be in big trouble.
sunny_day
He is only claiming benefits for himself.
heating-eng
Then yes he could be in trouble. My brother kept my mums address for mail when he moved into his girlfriends ,didn't do it for any reason but to have a address just in case they fell out. My mum was called in to the benefits system and got in a lot of trouble.

Isabelle
If he is claiming Single Person's Discount on his council tax this could be put at risk because they might argue that she lives there too with her mail going there.
