francypants
Once it was an American thing, and of course what starts off there usually finds it's way over here. What are your views on school leaver's proms, do you think it's all got out of hand. ? I do.
tallanddopey
depends how its handled really. When i left 6th form 6-7 years ago now, our leaving 'prom' was a very good night all round. we went to baldwins for a meal and a dance till 1 in the morning i think. The teachers and principal were there and all in all it was a good send off for many people who wouldnt see each other again. we then went out for a few more hours after. good memories. tinfoilhat
School leavers proms aren't a bad idea for 6th formers (or what ever they're called these days), possibly after gcses. The former isn't new over here. But ive seen them for ages as young as 8.
AlfieMcWawa
They provide a good focal point for serial killers.
TimTaylor73
We didn't have anything when we finished school and it would have been nice to have had one last night out with everyone. I don't see the point in people spending a fortune especially when they can't afford it but the basic idea is good.
