jayke
I went out about 2.30 yesterday afternoon, came back at 3.45 and our house on City Road had been broken into. Lap tops, money, watches etc were taken as well as the door being broken down. Apparently other houses in the area have also been broken into. Just want to warn people to be extra careful locking up and locking their possessions up. Also if you've got a PVC door, replace it, they're useless!! If anyone saw anything suspicious yesterday (Sunday) afternoon on or around City Road (quite near to cemetery) please let me know.

gaze1981
I had a composite door fitted a couple of years ago. I was unfortunate enough to be in one evening when a group of 'youths' attempted to kick it in. The entire place seemed to shake, but the door held its ground. geared
PVC doors usually hold up alrite, it's the locks fitted to them that are easy to break.
melv
The only sure way of keeping the scrotes out is to have a metal bar gate fitted.

monkey104
Composite doors are spot on, security problems only arise if you have one with large plastic panels or large panes in them. Also leaving keys in the door when locked as small panels can be broken through and the door unlocked by reaching through.
