Taskbar and Start Menu

I have a Pen Tablet.....on start-up the icon is displayed in the taskbar and the pen tablet works fine, after a few minutes the icon disappears and the pen becomes erratic in use.

 

Going into ' Start ' - ' Settings ' - ' Taskbar and Start Menu ' then click on ' Taskbar ' - then

' Customise ' the Pen Tablet is shown in the list but states ' No Title '

 

I enable it to always be shown, the icon re-appears in the Taskbar and the pen works ok until I shut down, the next time I start the computer up the same problem happens again.

 

Any ideas what could be causing the problem, and how do I 'Title' the Pen Tablet ?

 

I'm running Windows XP / SP3 Home Edition.
