gnvqsos Posted February 4, 2013 Share Posted February 4, 2013 I guess you could argue that perhaps he should pay for his operation as he is a student and therefore has only paid his fees to university and not paid any tax to pay for the healthcare. As the fees university takes it doesn’t pay to healthcare system. I think if he has a successful operation he should be offered a seat on the PCT,where space is allocated for foreign patients.I imagine the university lecturers pay various taxes so the fees indirectly boost Treasury coughers,and help fund the NHS. Daven Posted February 4, 2013 Share Posted February 4, 2013 Single bedded rooms are very rarely empty - they are used for patients who have infections and have to be isolated and for those who are nearing the end of their lives - and quite right too.
