mancmart
Ok it's not strictly in sheffield, but if anyony knows which pubs to recommend for a stayover in Castleton, I reckon Sheffielders will! Looking at accomodation, food, value for money etc. Anyone stayed in any of the nice looking pubs there and any I should avoid?
snakeheadblu
We stayed in the castle a couple of years ago very reasonable and with log fire felt very cosy when having a beer in the bar ,food was nice too.

The_Knifeman
Nags Head or Bulls Head. Both lovely places with decent rooms and food
top4718
Castle is unfortunately a chain pub, so while its a cracking place and the rooms are ok the food is churned out for the masses microwave fodder, terrible. I would recommend the Peaks Inn for food its excellent, not stayed there but its always pretty much booked up so must be doing something right.
