happyaslarry
They have started charging for milk at Manhattan on Ecclesall Road. A black americano is £2.30, a white one is £2.40. Anyone else feel this is just not on, or know of another coffee bar which does the same?
medusa
It's perfectly legal to charge someone who doesn't use milk less than someone who does- I don't drink coffee but I drink tea black with no sugar and it's perfectly plain that whoever sells tea for me makes more profit than they do when they sell a cup of tea to someone who uses 10p worth of milk and 10p worth of sugar. It's up to you- either you accept that cost, drink elsewhere or start taking your coffee black so you get to pay the lower price.

jamesogt
I hadn't heard that milk was now free for businesses to buy? Another charging anomoly is often when people order shandy. Do you pay for 1/2 lager and 1/2 lemonade or do they charge for the full pint of lager price. As a half lemonade from a gun costs about 4p. Though occasionally the half lemonade actually costs more than half a lager. I suppose these are just daily problems we all must face!
