Tyranna
Just need a quick bit of advice about washing a synthetic fur coat. Although I know they can be dry-cleaned, I was wondering if the fake fur material (I think it is a form of acrylic) can be washed OK in water. Is washing powder OK, or would soap be best, and is fabric softener advisable to maintain the quality of the fur. Any advice on this would be welcome, as I am not keen to spend a huge amount of drycleaning at regular intervals!
Strix
unlike real fur, they go matted and horrid if they get wet, so it's best not to I did it with a parker once it was relegated to decorating and gardening
Tyranna
Thanks for the tip; is it best to dryclean them?
Strix
Until you've got to a point where you're prepared to run the risk of it being destroyed by washing It could come out of a wash okay, but you just don't know when it gets to that point, do it on a wool wash for minimal tumbling about and tattiness
