normanmarina Posted February 14, 2013 Share Posted February 14, 2013 In the winter of 1973 I was working on an office block being built close to west bar police station.As an apprentice it was my job to go for bacon butties at snap time.There was a shop just round the corner run by a little chap with black thinning hair slicked back.All I ever heard him say was 'Kew' You placed an order,'Kew' handed over your money,'Kew' he handed your change back with a,'Kew'.Good bacon butties though!!
