yellowperil
No doubt in your magic reliant robin. http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9502246&postcount=127 Oh yes it was! You can doubt the claims if you want but i set off and raced my mate in his fiesta. This was the early 90's. Left him behind and phoned my parents from thier house when i got back so they know its true too. They even rang me back on the house phone to make sure i wasnt pulling their legs. Doubt it if you like but it could be done.

backhome
Still waiting for someone to point out the 70 odd miles of the route where a steady 90mph can be sustained....................... There isn't any but you always get the dreamers and here they are.
clanktown
The problem here is that there are several people that KNOW that its possible, and a couple that THINK it isn't....
Alcoblog
I made Tallington Lake (North west of Peterborough) to Huntingdon railway station (about 40 miles) in around 25 minutes when my mate realised he'd got to pick up his girlfriend (we'd been water skiing). Fortunately, we went the back way and he happened to conveniently have a Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 2 Evoluzione. Also, quite conveniently (and fortunately, as it happened), he's raced professionally. 150 Mph down single track roads is a little bit scary! He was the first (and last) person to take me round a roundabout on two wheels in a Transit van, shouting 'Waheeeey!' ... cacked myself! Quickest way to Skegvegas from here is north east ... helicopter or train in my opinion. Wheelchairs are rubbish ... you need to stop in Doncaster for a re-charge. Pontefract's hardly that exciting either (especially in the metallic red ones)

Pandora 103
We have driven to Mablethorpe in 2 hours, going A1-M18-M180, through Grimsby, A16-onto A1031. 95 miles if my memory serves me right
pitsmoorlad
I've done the Sheffield / Skeggy run quite a few times about 10 years back. I always used to allow 2 hours for the trip and go A57 - A1 - A57 past Llincoln. It's a nice enough drive. (Unless you get stuck behind a tractor on the other side of Lincoln)
