Northside
I am toying with the idea of having my dress made. I know what kind of design I would like, I have seen a designer dress which I particularly fancy so would like something similar but with a few modifications. Can anyone recommend where I can get this done on a budget? I would be happy to source my own material after establishing how much is needed. I have been told of a couple of shops that do it but these are bridal shops and charge a fortune when I am really after someone with the right skills who could do it as part of other work they may do, not necessarily a specialist wedding dress seamstress if that makes sense thank you! absynthfairy
I'd also like to know the answer to this question! X
Love2print
You could try Tracy's across from Ecclesfield Church. She altered mine and my sister's wedding dresses. She also makes prom/evening dresses as well. Not sure if she could make a wedding dress but it might be worth asking. Tel. 0114 246 2866.
schminke
I'd recommend Amie B - http://www.amiebfashions.co.uk/ - she does all kinds of things including wedding dresses. She only did alterations for me but photos of her bespoke work look lovely.
medusa
What sort of thing are you looking for? If she's still doing it then I would wholeheartedly recommend Wendy Bailey in Bawtry, but every designer has their own specialities so she may not be the best for what you're looking for, and my dress wasn't cheap (but it was lovely).
