Website designer required for my business.. Any recommendations?

Good seo starts with site design. However, a site will only rank well for the least competitive keywords if you leave it at that. I work with sites now, for national campaigns that take weeks and months of link building to rank first page.

Don't be fooled by designers offering this and that for very little. Ask to see current websites, detailed seo reports over time and reports on live accounts and make sure it is them doing the important work rather than outsourcing (if they claim this).

Find out a bit about web design and seo and ask loads of questions (I don't promote either myself or others directly on here but if you don't know any good sites PM me and I'll be happy to give you the best one's from learner to advanced, :).

Only then will you get a quality assurance. Usually you get what you pay for but not always. An individual might be a better bet for as they have lower overheads.

I know some larger companies who churn out templates at big margins. You're essentially paying the wage bill. But then again they do great custom work so it's horses for courses.

Just always make sure you do those checks and take it from there, whatever budget you are on.

Remember you do only get what you pay for in the end, including burnt fingers. Pay cheap, pay twice and all that. End of the day, you are not just paying for a website, you are paying for a marketing tool. Bear that in mind when comparing quotes and seeing what you get for your money, as I am sure you are wanting contact forms to be filled in and the phone to ring once the website has been found in Google for your keywords after they have optimised it with the right keywords during the build of the website.

Yeah, I wouldn't disagree with the marketing tool bit.

A web designer or an seo should have an appreciation of online marketing from a user perspective. Everything's interlinked, onpage seo elements to web forms or pop-ups, from social media to engaging site content it's important to get the overall marketing strategy defined..

A web designer / seo specialist should know a bit about everything in that respect.

You have to agree 'with it' not 'to it'. I had a look at your site;

Welcome to Britain on web, Small dedicated and passionate team of techies, we promise to make your online presence affordable, effective and result oriented with 100% guranteed satisfaction.

Web design is not just our business, its our passion. we develop websites that increase your brand awareness thus resulting in increase sales. .

If this is your passion, I suggest you employ someone with a grasp of English grammar to validate your web site.

A spirited reply but six errors in the space of two sentences hardly inspires confidence. You wouldn't get my business I'm afraid.

This is a forum & we are not here for our English Test.

However as we said we are open to critics and suggestions and will keep on improving with time.

I hope this clarifies my point.

Kind regards,

Bonwebuk

It's not about improving. It's about getting the basics right. Is English not your first language?

A team of five young and passionate guys, English is the first language of four of them.

And as I said when writing in forum posts we do not care much about spelling mistakes, as we are not writing website content here.

We will be careful next time while posting to this forum.

Kind regards,

Bonweb.

bonwebuk your web site looks like one of those awful translations of a manual from one language to another using a dictionary and no common sense. No one is going to use your services based on what you have on view. It is insulting to my eyes. Do something about it before I log-on in the morning. "Build instant reputation"! Where is your quality control? Hang your heads in shame.

I'm not a member of the grammar police. As a rule I don't criticise the grammar of fellow posters and did not criticise the grammar you used in your posts.

However, the grammar and spelling on your website is relevant to the discussion and I'm sorry but it's appalling. If you don't correct it you'll only get business from the semi-literate.
