algy
Really? This is from their Ts and Cs "General exclusions Failure to carry a serviceable spare Any additional charges resulting from Your failure to carry a legal and serviceable spare wheel or tyre, except where this is not provided as manufacturers’ standard equipment. The AA will endeavour to arrange on your behalf, but will not pay for, assistance from a third party;" It's now quite common for a spare to be classed by manufacturers as an optional extra rather than standard. Apparently the argument is that so few people would know how to change a wheel these days it's not worth providing as standard.
iansheff
I have used Challenger for repairs and never had a problem with them saying the tyre can't be repaired for a simple puncture. I was told that once a tyre has the sealant sprayed in then the tyre cannot be repaired, seems an expensive quick fix if you have to buy a new tyre for a puncture
