Bollie
Don't want a big wedding, thinking of just popping down to the Register Office one day and just doing it (after giving them notice of course) The're not allowed to provide witnesses though. Does anyone know of anywhere that does?

Bollie
Isnt the normal practice just to ask a couple of passers by? Yeah, i thought that. Bit risky though. What if we don't find anyone?!!
Bad_Hair_Day
You could always order a couple of takeaways to be delivered to the register office at the same time - that should guarantee two people there for you!
Strix
Are you trying to get investigated for fraud?

Does anyone know of anywhere that does? Can't you ask a friend. What about a work colleague if its close to work? Our friends just wanted to get married without a fuss, she didn't even tell her mum. Bride and groom each asked a best friend and partner to attend the registry office then go for a meal. Brides mum found out and came to the registry office. I just don't want a 'Big Do'. I also don't want to pick and choose witnesses that may upset other people that aren't 'chosen'.

Just be careful as thats how they carry out the fraudulent ones Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android ---------- Post added 25-02-2013 at 09:52 ---------- Thats why none of the register office staff will be witnesses and they're not allowed to provide them... in case they accidentally become accessories to fraud Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
