I would think he just breached the Code of Conduct for Members of Parliament and should be dealt with appropriately. Members have a duty to uphold the law, including the general law against discrimination, and to act on all occasions in accordance with the public trust placed in them. I agree with you entirely it would be good to have a balanced debate.
