alf1956 Posted February 24, 2013 Share Posted February 24, 2013 i remember the gas tank explosion in 1973 one of the men who got killed john lomas known as jack was our next door neighbour on brunswick road he left a widow&5 kids.he worked at a company that was near to the gas tank,the company was R G Holland & he got crushed by a big slab of concrete&apparently he was so badly crushed he could only be reconised by a scar on his leg.very tragic.
