AndyChef52
I have an 05 CBR600F, had to get a new battery but for the life on me I am unable to tighten the terminals up, battery fits correctly but the two small bolts just will not tighten either terminal, the two small retaining bolts just keep spinning around. I am embarresed to ask but is there anyone who can advise what I am doing wrong please?, feel a right mug !
littlebasher
jam a small screwdriver down the side of the nuts to hold them against the terminals Do the positive first though, then you don't have to worry about shorting out against the frame! peak4
The battery terminal probably isn't threaded, there should be a couple of nuts, probably square, which go on the back of the terminal. The bolts never seem long enough to pick up on the thread of the nut without something to move the nut forward a bit towards the terminal. Just be ware of using something metallic in case you short the +ve to ground.
