melthebell
Minor point for all the people saying the Doctor can't be a woman. Back in 1989 towards the end of Colin Bakers run as the Doctor, the series creator Sydney Newman wanted the next Doctor to be female, Michael Grade rejected the idea apparently. So the idea's only been around for about 27 years & the creator of the series thought it should happen. Also the series boasts the first ever female producer in Verity Lambert in 1963 and the first ever director was Waris Hussein, who was a gay Asian man at a time when homosexuality was still a criminal offence for men. yeah but it will destroy all semblence of realism....apparently Oo
