adamf
Utterly tragic. Yes, and then the Mail has ignorant commenters saying he had it coming because he didn't pay "road tax". Amazing.
Spiky_Head
I heard about this the other day, however, I never got around to posting it. Plus, I wasn't sure what sort of reception it would get, after all, this is SF where cyclists and potholes are often fiercely debated. This is a dreadfully sad story, one which could have been avoided had the road been maintained as it should. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2283266/Anger-death-crash-cyclist-killed-pothole.html Bummer! Thats a crap way to go. RIP to the poor bloke and his family. ---------- Post added 26-02-2013 at 13:45 ---------- Tragic. RIP Equally tragic are the usual idiotic comments after the article. What is wrong with people? I saw them too. Some pretty stupid things being said on there. Although the ones pointing out cyclists should have insurance make a good point. WalkleyIan
Yes, and then the Mail has ignorant commenters saying he had it coming because he didn't pay "road tax". Amazing. Made a new year's resolution never to look at that hate filled website ever again. Equally disgusting comments were posted on twitter after the tragic death of that couple on the tandem in Bristol (hit and run remember) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-21312548 eg "result for road tax payers nationwide" which was then retweeted. http://www.flickr.com/photos/carltonreid/8422039264/ Like all of his kind @carbo_la promptly hid his twitter page when he started to get some comeback. Greengeek
That is an awful thing to say, Explain please.
francypants
Explain please. A man has lost his life through no fault of his own, and you said it was totally avoidable. The way your post was written made it sound like the cyclist was to blame because he didn't see the pothole. Can you explain please ?
truman
You can't say for sure that the pothole could/would have been seen. The ones at the front of the line saw it......I have no opinion either way to how cyclists behave on the road ..it's up to them..just pointing out a fact..
