Local Support Bands Wanted.

Tiny Teeth

Recommended Posts

If any forum members out there are in, or know of, good local bands - we are always on the look out for support bands for the touring acts we have coming through at The Greystones.

We've got a wide variety going on, so interested in all genres.

We are also runnig a series of local, unsigned nights at The Greystones as well, so even if you don't fit with the tourers (who can sometimes be very specific) we have lots of opportunities for good gigs at a great venue.

We are also in planning for Tramlines already, and are running a City Centre stage on Friday and Saturday, so looking for acts for that as well - again, all genres welcome.

Send details over to info@tinyteethrecords.com

Cheers,

TT.

Inherit The Stars ::: Album Sampler Online Now

In News / By News Editor: Feargal Daly / 26 February 2013 / 0 comments

(Inherit The Stars L-R: Theo Egginton, Daniel Jeffery, Lewis Kakarot Wild and Danny James Greasley)

Breaking out onto the music scene with a style that’s completely their own, Sheffield (UK) born and bred quartet Inherit The Stars (Formerly known as Decode) are an explosion of sound that should not be missed. With all four members already being well-aquainted with the stage, their live shows ooze energy, creating an impressive gigging experience.

Listing some of their major influences as bands such as Fightstar, Funeral For A Friend, Enter Shikari and Chiodos, Inherit The Stars are most recognisable for their powerful rock riffs, lulling string arrangements, adrenaline-filled synth lines and distinctive choruses. Not only do they boast an up-and-coming full-length album due to be released early 2013, but they boast an album recorded by Jim Pinder at Treehouse Studios. Treehouse has also been the home of many well-known bands, including big names such as Rise To Remain, While She Sleeps, and Fightstar.

Intent on making their mark on music history, impressive and innovative things can be expected from this young band, who dare to deliver music with a message.

The result? – Judging from the album samplers (Check them out below!) fans and the curious can expect exactly what the band promises. While only a teaser, its raw energy absolutely delivers. A kinetic mixture of genres that breeds a whole new life into a struggling and frankly divisive modern scene. The band succeeds most in their impeccible songwriting skills. This genre is saturated with bands who forget what exactly constitutes a “song” and often deliver self indulgent crap to the masses with an expiry date lasting as long as the attention span of a spoon.

We’re excited and you should be too!

The Wild Sons of Gentlemen would love to support anything of the more country/americana stuff that passes by the Greystones.

We're a two-man outfit comprising one multi-talented fella on guitar, vocals, harmonica and such and a one-trick-pony on double bass.

Songs range from a bluesy, country feel to raucous slap-bass driven honky tonk anthems, from the cold-blooded murderer to hopeless drunk to the card player risking it all on a bad hand. We also do a few covers from Hank's "I Saw The Light" to jazz classic "St James Infirmary Blues" and some old-timers like "Rabbit In The Log".

We're on Facebook at www.facebook.com/TheWildSonsOfGentlemen or you could always catch us at the Washington on the 13th.
