fridayfeelin
I cannot forget this happened after reading the heart wrenching story (selfishly i wished I had never read about it). I own a staffy and to do this to an animal in general is utter evil and shows how mentally unstable, weak and evil the person is to do this. If they can do that to an animal and hear the sounds it would have made in that kind of pain then I have no doubt they could easily kill a human. He needs putting in a mental hospital forever not jail as if he had done that to a human he may have been. I am utterly disgusted!
sarahjane
I think he's been released on bail so I wouldn't be surprised if he got a few more visitors!
Super Hans
Be interesting to see what sentence he gets. There will be uproar if it's not custodial, so let's see how many years it will be.
CeeCee
I'm pleased they have arrested someone hopefully he will get what he deserves. Wish I'd never read about it though its so awful to think about.
boyfriday
Forgive me for coming over all pedantic like, but is being arrested the same as being convicted? Wow, why bother with law courts then? Would save a fortune if the great and the good of Skye Edge could be engaged to dispense summary justice with the prod of a red hot poker. shaunr68
Mustn't jump the gun as there has only been an arrest so far, he hasn't even been charged yet. But if guilty a custodial would seem inevitable, sentencing guidelines state: Maximum Penalty : 51 weeks imprisonment Fine not exceeding £20,000 http://www.thelawpages.com/criminal-offence/Causing-unnecessary-suffering-to-an-animal--201-19.law http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/2306513.print/

cazowl
I am pleased they have arrested and hopefully got the evil culprit! I only hope he gets what he deserves from the law - but if others were to get to him first, then I wouldn't have a problem with that either
Jonny5
Hopefully its the perpetrator. I don't think 51 weeks is enough for someone that does something like that. It's not a lack of judgement or temporary loss of control that results in a dog being tortured and burnt alive in full public view. It's mental illness. Whoever did that is not safe and fit to live amongst human beings.
LeMaquis
People who abuse animals often go on the abuse women and children, but often get away with a very light punishment. Can you back that up with some evidence or are you talking rubbish?
