AngryDog Posted March 6, 2013 Author Share Posted March 6, 2013 My jobs secure, so I'm not worried about that. I shouldn't even be moving to Sheffield, that's the thing that's really getting to me. No offence to anyone in Sheffield but my life was meant to be in Leeds *sigh*. I wasn't meant to move here but can't imagine not living here now. See it as an adventure - and if it really sucks you could just move to Leeds, its not like you need a passport or emigration papers, its less than an hour up the motorway! Plus, by the sounds of it, you can go out and socialise and be all footloose and fancy free without having to organise a childminder! I'd say trust your instincts, but if you've just broken up with someone your instincts could be all over the place. I've moved city once or twice, and when I moved here I didn't know anyone. I actually found it easier moving on from my break up cos I was in a whole new place so it was like starting again. My decision to move here was based entirely on a job. Hopefully they will for me too Know how you feel there too - the mates I have left are far far away.. It worked out ok, but i wont deny its been hard - hell I went to a gig on my own tonite cos the people I have met here aren't into the same things as me. I saw kvelertak tonight, and think i'm going to see if i can get a ticket to see enslaved the week after next. The thought of going to a gig on my own hadn't crossed my mind before but I'm glad I did - there were quite a few folk stood about on their own, now I want to go again!!
