Mimi83
Hi all I'm a complete novice interested in woodworking. Do you think home-based woodworking courses are any good? For a complete newbie (no knowledge of woodworking, power tools etc), would these be enough to take up woodworking as hobby? I'm interested in basic skills like cutting wood, using basic hand and power tools, doing precise cuts and assembling basic furniture like shelves/drawers. I'm wondering if something like this course (http://www.hotcourses.com/uk-courses/Carpentry-and-Joinery-Level-3-Course-courses/page_pls_user_course_details/16180339/220704/w/54259088/page.htm) would be any good? Or would I still need to attend a hands-on workshop? How much time/money should a newbie spend to enter woodworking as a hobby from scratch? Any help appreciated. Thanks!
