It's passed the 12 months so won't beko just fob me off though? Yes checked the filter, didn't want the embarrassment of a repairman coming to find it was underwire from my bra (again! )

Thank you Strix and Speleo1, that's interesting. I'll see if I can find my receipt out for date of purchase, it's not the first time it's broken down (although admittedly one of the times it was my darn bra wire )

Think you may have a tough time.

 

Doubt you will get any joy from Beko I used to work for Currys and in my experience Beko's customer service is pretty poor,also their w/machines were one of the less reliable and I never recommended them.

 

Your contract is actually with the retailer who will probably request you get an engineers report at your own cost which they may or may not fefund depending on what it says.

Hunny, even with a one year guarantee, there is a legal expectation, I believe that the manufacturer has a responsibility for the appliance for up to six years after purchase.
