Sunday March 31st will see us return to the Washington for the first instalment of our infamous house social day/night events of 2013.

We are always keeping an eye on the Sheffield scene with the aim to bring to Delve Deeper the DJ’s that are doing great things in the steel city and beyond. We feel [as always] that we have put together a line up offering a great diversity in house music to keep the great music and vibe tag that Delve Deeper has built a reputation for.

We present;

Solid State [All Out War/Society/Celebrating 25 years of DJing]

We are especially pleased to announce that Solid State will be celebrating his 25th anniversary of DJing with us on the night. As someone who has been a part of and following the Sheffield scene for many years, Solid State has been a prominent figure on flyers from the start.

He has held residency on some of the most influential brands/nights Sheffield has seen, from the early pirate radio days of SCR and Fantasy FM to the Palais [more recently known as Bed], Republic [Gatecrasher], NY Sushi and Scuba where he DJ’d alongside names including Harvey, Norman Jay, Derrick Carter, Derrick May, Farley and Heller, Andrew Weatherall and Nightmares on Wax. He has also guest DJ at many credible nights and cities throughout the UK and overseas [including a tour of South Africa]. Recent times have seen Solid State shake the floors [and speakers] of parties such as Mixed in Sheffield.

However, Richard is not only known for his DJing skills, he has also a great discography of releases under his belt via his own production on heavyweight deep house labels including Guidance [Chicago] and TOKO.

Believe me, it has been a very difficult task in trying to trim down so many highlights and achievements Richard has over the years to this small write up. I would several more pages to truly do him justice.

Sir Vinyl Instinct [itchy Pig Records]

Leeroy aka Sir Vinyl Instinct has started 2013 off with a bang, continuing to build on the hard work of previous years with his own label Itchy Pig Records [a label with countless quality releases which has been featured on many big name DJ’s playlist including former Delve Deeper guest Milton Jackson].

His unique style of blending varied and unique wax, spanning from genre to genre. and defying normal BPM rules, you will hear anything from disco, house, funk, soul, techno, breaks and the rarest of rare grooves!

We were incredibly impressed with his unique and refreshing outlook towards DJing and are really pleased to have him joining us again.

Luk’Ant [RYAD]

Luke has made a huge impact on the Sheffield scene over the last few years. So much so, it’s easy to forget he is still only in his early 20’s.

With a great ear for music as well as outstanding technical ability, it’s clear to see why. Through RYAD Luke has hosted some of the top names in house music to sell out parties as well as being booked to play at nights such as De:Bug. He has also been selected to DJ at clubs including Sankeys [a dream for many DJ’s], again a testament to his ability and a sign that Luke has a bright future in house music.

Jamie Williamson [Delve Deeper]

Jamie has been a part of the Sheffield scene for many years, always supporting the nights offering what he likes, quality deep-underground house music.

Often spotted on the dance floor, it has now become apparent that Jamie is a very talented DJ with a record collection to make the geekiest of geeks green with envy. For that reason, we had to get Jamie involved with Delve Deeper and are looking forward to his debut.

Finalising the line up are two Delve Deeper regulars, Duncan Allott [seven Hills Soul Boys] and Marcus Williams [This Way Up].

Anyone who has attended our parties at the Washington will no doubt know these are both extremely talented DJ’s both technically and musically. For that we never think twice about including them in our events as often as possible.

Both push the boundaries of deep house music, never bowing to current trends, always looking towards opening peoples ears to new music [and always making people dance].

As always, this will be a free event with the emphasis on quality music and a good vibe.

Perfect for losing a few of the calories the Easter eggs [or more likely, Easter booze] has put on the body.

We hope to see you there.
