tinfoilhat
Don't ask we where this has come from. Maybe its because I saw an advert on telly for new tv show "Revolution", a show about a future with no electric. Maybe because I live near to stables and see big 4x4s going up daily to feed etc the horses morning and night. What do horses do in the mean time ? Could businesses, councils etc be trying to get people to use them for getting to work ? A central corale (sorry don't know the terminology!) or something, it's Eco friendly(ish), gets both horse and rider a bit of fresh air and maybe get them out of cars. Doubt it would work in Sheffield, but what about smaller towns?
Total Chaos
It would be good for the roses.
Gazza58
It would be good for the roses. But bad for the noses.
Isabelle
Cycling would be cheaper, I'm guessing horses are expensive to look after properly and horseriding arguably doesn't involve as much exercise
tinfoilhat
Cheaper than a car though ? And you wouldn't get as sweaty as you would cycling (plus i wouldnt need the support team behind me carrying the defibrillator that would probably be needed). Happ Hazzard
As has already been said, cycling would be used for commuting rather than horses. Horses could still be used for long distance travelling though.
Eric_Collins
On a plus side a good dollop of horse muck may land just right to fill the odd pothole
llamatron
This is something I dream about being able to do one day. It might be feasible depending on the location of my future job.
