rosemary19
Some in years gone by have not been bad, didn't she win it that Katrina and the Waves last time for us. I'll grant you that one was a slight improvement on Boom bang a bang and Puppet on a string.
dosxuk
It's about time we got rid of Eurovision! It's an expensive JOKE! Presuming you're talking about the song contest, as noted above, the BBC spends less on it than a normal Saturday night's programming. If it's a joke because we don't win, just consider what happened to NRK when they broadcast the 2010 contest - they had to sell their rights to the World Cup to one of their competitors in order to be able to afford to put the show on. Maybe not winning is a good thing?
Bypassblade
I'll grant you that one was a slight improvement on Boom bang a bang and Puppet on a string. Oh yes, they were awful, yet Congratulations was okay and that got no 2, and the Bucks Fizz effort was okay as it sort of encapsulated the 80's.
