Martin Barre
Can anyone remember Pelham Street in Attercliffe? My father was born there in 1919 and I am trying to locate it with old Sheffield maps and find the area against current roadbuilding.

Martin Barre
Many thanks for your copy of the 1950's map which was wonderful in helping me tracking down Pelham Street. Am looking forward to having a walk round the area next week. Regards Martin
trevkent
My grandparents lived in Pelham Street in the 1950-1960s. I remember there was a 'beer off' at the end of their backyard on the corner, people would take their jug, buy draught beer, pop into the yard and swig it. Not sure of the number (was it no. 12?), it was the last house in the yard. There's a photo of the street but being a newbie the forum won't allow me to post a link yet, its on picturesheffield.com, search for s18641.jpg
