iansheff
I just received a letter saying that my bill is going up 66p a month. These companies should be forced to keep your bill at the price you started your contract on and not put them up mid contract.
Bonzo77
I've just opened the same letter! I know it's only 66p, but I'm halfway through my contract! I went straight to the website to complain.
WasThatWise
I am on a £15.50 sim only contract discounted to £10.50 when taken out for 12 months, my letter says the price is going up by £0.51 so if the price increase is not discounted then the price to me is going up by 5% not 3.3% , it's not a lot in real terms but it might be Orange being a bit sneaky with their calculations. iansheff
It is not that 66p is a lot but when you consider the millions of customers they have it is a hell of an increase in their income every month. If you want to alter your contract then you have to start a new one, this should apply both ways, like I say if they said at the end of your contract it will rise then fair enough. Offcom should make sure that contracts cannot be increased mid term. Just looked for information and found that in 2010 Orange had 16.9 million customers can't find more recent information. iansheff
The thing is even if you say you will change providers at the end of the contract the others will have put their prices up.
DaFoot
This irritates me everytime it happens. I signed on for a contract at £x per month for 2 years. Not £x +any random inflationary rises.
alchresearch
Its all clear in the small print. No doubt reading that is far less important than a shiny new toy to play with.
