Tezden Posted March 12, 2013 Share Posted March 12, 2013 Walked past the Barracks at Hillsborough today ... first time for ages ... and it reminded me of the mystery of why the railings were removed where the drop from the wall is highest - at the end nearest to the Bus Station - but not removed where the drop from the wall is negligible - near the entrance to the top car park. I assume that they were removed as part of the WW2 scrap metal initiative ... and lets hope they did make a Spitfire or two from them ... however ... and apologies if this has already been discussed ... does anybody have a definitive answer?
