TJC1
One blocker on your pc/laptop at home and you cannot access any gambling websites, yet you can self exclude from every bookmakers in Britain but still be able to walk in and spend a thousand pound without any of the staff batting an eyelid... Bookies are far worse than online betting these day's in my opinion, watch the you tube video diary and you will get exactly what I mean... If you have to self exclude yourself from betting sites it's probably a sign that you have a serious problem and no internet blocker is going to help with that. In that case do you not think there should be more help for people suffering from this like there is Alcoholism, Drug addiction etc... There is only one NHS problem gambling clinic in the whole of Britain, while there are a reported half a million problem gamblers in the UK ??? geared
Gambling is the quiet problem tho, people don't talk it up much - they quietly destroy life savings in secret. Alcohol or drugs are big brash problems, with addicts causing people harm and stealing to fund the habit.

Is it the quiet problem because it brings so much money in for the government like alcohol and tobacco does. What sort of state would the country be in if smoking, alcohol and gambling was banned or more stringently controlled. A lot better and healthier for a start... Jim Hardie
On average there are 8 bookies within a few hundred yards of each other these day's, are there any need for this many seeing as generally you only see 3 or 4 people in these betting shops.... Great news for the punters. The greater the competition, the better the odds. ---------- Post added 13-03-2013 at 19:08 ---------- So we need smokers, gamblers and alcoholics then to keep the economy running OK ??? All taxes levied on these are paid voluntarily.
