alchresearch
Give Childrens Services at the council a call. I occasionally sort out free computers for needy cases over this way.
Mecky
Have you got a new laptop or something?
llamatron
you can put it on freecycle sheffield. make sure you wipe it thoroughly first though. The memory not the object:D http://groups.freecycle.org/SheffieldCity-Freecycle/description you can pick who gets it then. I like to use "first to use polite english gets it" but you could base it on the best reason for requesting it. I have had charities contact me through freecycle for stuff. WallBuilder
I'm wondering which charity you've dealt with as I'm on the look out for a laptop but funds are limited. I know there is the place in the Hillsborough barracks something to do with Sheffield colleges I believe and then there;s Aspire at Parsons Cross who sell re-furbished stuff but I'm always interested in any other places there might be.
