Total Chaos
You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. Let's see one of these itemisied bills then showing such a fee next to a local rate number. ---------- Post added 25-04-2013 at 11:22 ---------- Wrong. There is nothing that requires your consent to the law - if you don't like it you are perfectly free to leave the country. You really are wrong.Tell you what, you ring them up and speak to them for twenty minutes and get back to me when you get your bill.I promise not to say told you so. I asked you this last and you never gave me an answer. Why is it then that me,saab 10 of my friends and family.! of which refuses to pay and has not for 3 yrs.Have never been arrested or fined? Why are the Magistrates that are fed up with dealing with TV non payers,(who did not know the LAW and signed the paperwork) are wanting it decriminised.Obviuosly because the BBC, is just a company and has no contract with the payee,is a civil matter. ---------- Post added 25-04-2013 at 13:43 ---------- i reckon the CAB had spent a little time checking this stuff out. heck, they probably have maybe one or two lawyers on their payroll. http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/nireland/consumer_ni/phones_tv_internet_and_computers_index_e/consumer_tv_licences_e/about_tv_licences.htm go read it. buy a license. HbroChris
Again, your advice is broadly incorrect. Yes, you can specifically remove the right of access of almost everyone to your house (except the postman, people asking for directions, and people exercising regulatory authority) but that's not the point. BBC/TVL/Capita do not need you to sign anything in order to prosecute you. If you are a licence evader (rather than simply legally licence free) then you can be taken to court. Not having consented to legislation is no defence, because your consent is not required. To watch live TV you need a licence. The Communications Act says so. The Act isn't a contract, your compliance is required. A common FMoTL refrain is "Do your research". Scientific method requires you to evidence where you believe the accepted norm is incorrect, rather than me continue to prove otherwise. For example, when a previous FMoTL poster (might even have been you) suggested that a judge had been arrested by the accused, I asked for evidence. I found the video referred to - it conclusively did not demonstrate what was claimed. Therefore there is no evidence to suggest a judge can be arrested in this manner. If you can prove your claims, why would you not? The fact that you have not yet been prosecuted does not mean you will never be prosecuted. I have never been called for jury service. However, I may yet be called for jury service. I will be required to attend (subject to some exceptions). Same thing.
Cyclone
Because they can't gather sufficient evidence to prosecute you probably.
Sid Umpley
again the thread descends into a debate over if you can be procecuted or not and how to avoid that, rather than the is it law or not its law. wether you can avoid being caught or avoid paying is an entirely different thing

Im wondering what to do this weekend.Im not sure to watch the live Wednesday match this Saturday in the pub,who probably has a license, or lawfully in my recliner at home for free.I wish i could add a poll ---------- Post added 25-04-2013 at 19:34 ---------- [quote=HbroChris; The fact that you have not yet been prosecuted does not mean you will never be prosecuted. Ok, if on the very slim chance i do get prosecuted ( the same as i never pay for a fishing license, caught 4 times and still never been prosecuted)I get fined £150 2 yrs not paying, still a saving of £140. Total Chaos
FoTL fallacy #1. If you say so,it is a bit odd that freeman stuff is being banned from the internet. Why? if as you say its false/misleading. FOTL, actually started out as a joke/game to try and educate the police in making them realise that most of the stuff they do, is against there sworn oath.It does make me laugh though that as soon as freeman is mentioned everyone heckles. Then in another post about the cops being owned, the same hecklers are saying"he did right,he was within his rights to drive off as the police where wrong" blah, blah mention freeman and its a load of rubbish Watch this space. Where is FoTL stuff being banned from the internet? As far as I can see TPUC, GOODF, DIF forum and a host of others haven't been banned. FoTL has its roots in the far right "sovereign citizen" groups in the USA, and more recently in con-men like Menard. Done your NOUICOR yet - tried paying bills by A4V or promissory note You might like to read about FoTL success stories; http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=177447 http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Freeman_on_the_land Have fun
