TV LICENCE why should people pay when paying for Sky?

Recommended Posts

Just don't let them in the house, don't let em see it through the window pmsl, your all just worming your way out of the obvious it's because you know you should be paying but don't want to, your willing to use the service but not pay for it ?

it's obvious seen as you have to hide it, you know you will get done for it hence why you don't let them in to catch you and don't let them see it, so Saab is wrong their is laws against it, their is no way around it apart from hiding in the house and shutting the curtains turning the tv down when they come around lol

4 years and over £500 saved. Ker-ching!!!!!

Imagine if they couldn't :D

Well then you'd have committed the perfect crime. As long as you didn't do something silly like boasting about the offence on a forum which does state "We may disclose any information in compliance with a court order, or threat of a court order, or to law enforcement authorities, as we deem appropriate."

But then you wouldn't do something silly like that would you?

With a few of these things it's become apparent that payment is not necessary. Look at the recent revelations about PCN's/parking invoices. It's now fully apparent that they are unenforcable- the parking companies literally made them up and by making them look like official fines, got away with it for years.

The TV license is a bit different, as, it is a legal requirement to own a licence if watching live broadcasts. However, there's no legal requirement for householders to go along with the TV licensing peoples efforts to obtain the necessary proof.

i.e. no legal requirement to allow access to your home, no requirement to do anything other than ignore them when they appear at you door, no requirment to respond to their letters etc.

But they won't catch anyone who doesn't activley go along with them, by allowing them to enter the house.
