andygardener
Imagine if they couldn't Well then you'd have committed the perfect crime. As long as you didn't do something silly like boasting about the offence on a forum which does state "We may disclose any information in compliance with a court order, or threat of a court order, or to law enforcement authorities, as we deem appropriate." But then you wouldn't do something silly like that would you?

Look at the recent revelations about PCN's/parking invoices. It's now fully apparent that they are unenforcable- the parking companies literally made them up and by making them look like official fines, got away with it for years. The TV license is a bit different, as, it is a legal requirement to own a licence if watching live broadcasts. However, there's no legal requirement for householders to go along with the TV licensing peoples efforts to obtain the necessary proof. i.e. no legal requirement to allow access to your home, no requirement to do anything other than ignore them when they appear at you door, no requirment to respond to their letters etc. ---------- Post added 18-03-2013 at 12:26 ---------- For the sake of £500 ? But they won't catch anyone who doesn't activley go along with them, by allowing them to enter the house.
anywebsite
Sorry, don't believe you. http://www.televisionlicence.info/tvl/warrant Read it more carefully, if they hear or see a television, they can get a warrant. If you don't successfully hide your television, sneak around & lie, you can get caught & fined. It is illegal to watch live TV without a license.
