DEBRA JANE APPELBY

Winner of both The Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year, and Funny Women Comedy Award in 2005, Debra Jane Appelby is fast becoming one of the most popular comedians on the circuit.

Debra has appeared the BBC's 28 Acts in 28 Minutes and on Paramount Comedy's The World Stands Up as well as number of appearances on BBC Radio 5 Live, and as a guest on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour.

"Debra Jane Appelby stole the show at The Stand with her mercilessly bad tempered take on why the youth of today are rubbish, why the middle classes are rubbish and how best to go about looting an Argos. There is something of the comprehensive school hockey coach about Appelby, a whiff of not being afraid to get muddy. This brusque straightforwardness in her persona gives the sometimes sarcastic, sometimes surreal social commentary she delivers a certain brutality that makes it all the more funny.", Scotsman - Jun-2012

"Highlight from Howlers included Debra-Jane Appelby, who is one of the funniest female comics I have ever seen! Talking about her roots, her family, the riots and youth today she had the audience in her hand for the entirety of her short set, ending on a joke about her being called 'Bat-nan'... I'm not giving anything else away, go see her now!", The Mag - Jan-2012

RHODRI RHYS

Rhodri Rhys has moved swiftly since joining the comedy circuit and can now be seen regularly as an act and compére in London, across the UK and internationally.

Before becoming a comedian Rhod qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and became a property entrepreneur in Eastern Europe. From 1990 to 2002 he lived in Prague enjoying business success and the unique hedonistic social life of that interesting era!

His skill in performing developed during these years when he lectured on property, hosted and compéred at regular business, diplomatic and charity events and went on to perform alongside established visiting British comedians. Encouraged by these performers, and with a hat full of plundered east European gold, he moved back to London to pursue a comedy career.

Rhodri has been the subject of a number of TV and radio programmes in Welsh, Czech and English (S4C, TV Nova, BBC Wales). He has done comedy gigs in Warsaw, Moscow, New York, Budapest, Prague and Bahrain.

Rhodri's act combines sharp wit and observation with a natural geniality. His material is broad and colourful, drawing on his own experiences in his unusual path to a comedy career, while deftly seaming in religion, business, sport and history too.

Prague Post: "success, the audience love it, he's killing them"

Chamber of Commerce, Prague: "Fantastic MC, we wont be able to afford him next year"

He’s one act to watch for the future. - Time Out (I know that could mean anything but I’ll take it in a positive context)

RYAN MCDONNELL

Ryan's comedy career began in 2007 in London. After just a year of service he was awarded a place in the Magners Comedy Awards final of 2008, before going on to finish as runner-up in the prestigious Amused Moose new act competition in Edinburgh the following year.

2010 saw him turn professional as well as make his debut at the Edinburgh Festival's esteemed Pleasance Courtyard, as part of Bound & Gagged's 'AAA' show, which was a complete sell-out for the entire run.

Working predominantly throughout the UK and Ireland, Ryan has performed as far afield as Spain, Holland, Egypt and Switzerland. Closer to home he regularly appears at the country's top clubs including but not limited to The Glee Clubs, Komedia, The Bearcat, Up The Creek, The Banana Cabaret, The Stand, Last Laugh, CKP, Jongleurs and Highlight.

He has also made music festival appearances at V-Festival and Download among others.

'Apollo-quality live comedy' **** - Three Weeks

'Candid and incisive' - The Irish Post

'A man with the charm and comic timing of someone who's tongued the Blarney Stone' - Gag Factory

'A forceful, leave-no-pauses onslaught' - Chortle

PHIL WALKER

Comedy Clubs to corporate events award winning Phil is the comedian for all occasions. Phil`s act has taken him to some weird & wonderful places, from a scout hut in Unst in the Shetland Isles to a portacabin on mount Alice in the Falkland Islands, basically he`ll go anywhere for a laugh!

His act has become a firm favorite with the armed forces & has seen him touring places as far afield as The Falkland Islands, Kosovo, Kuwait, Bosnia & Germany, appearing with fellow comics as well as megastars including eighties icons Tony Hadley & Bucks Fizz! In 2002 he won City Life Comedian of the Year, previous winners include Peter Kay & Steve Coogan.

"A ready wit, one to watch!" - BBC Leeds

"Comedian Phil Walker continues to evolve in leaps and bounds & his material is as up to date as tonight’s news." - The Stage
