handypandy Posted March 22, 2013 Share Posted March 22, 2013 My brothers and I went to the Tommy Emmanuel and Martin Taylor gig at the Winding Wheel in Chezzy last night. A masterclass of guitar playing for sure. Martin Taylor played the piece shown in the clip below and I'm not ashamed to say that tears ran down my face. What does it for you? The fair haired child . And yet it reminds me of his passing: there's a sudden drop in the melody with cellos and basses plummeting down - that through the stomach feeling echoed my own fear that my father was about to die - which is then replaced by a serene calmness, the sound of peace in death itself.
