Dyson DC07 - Brush Bar problem?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am having trouble with my Dyson DC07 vacuum. The brush bar / roller can spin but I have to manually spin it and then it starts spinning but not very fast!

I have to manually start spinning it to make it spin but then it just spins slowly with not much power when I put the faceplate back on and use it on the carpet it just stops spinning. - All debris/hair is removed.

Can you please help me fix it? what it could be?

The suction is powerful as well no loss just the rollers power

Thanks Jack help appreciated! :)

No the belt hasn't come off still on :(

I had the same problem on my DC04, if its the same, then the belt cannot be intact with the roller not spinning

If I turn my DC04 upside down and turn the spindle, its tight, it does turn. On my DC04 if you get a coin and loosen the 3 plastic screws, you can see all the belt. I think it is broken. You will need strong fingers to put a new one in.
