There's two present democracies I can mention - Palestine and Lebanon.

For a society that allegedly promotes democracy in the Middle East, Western powers have a very funny way of showing it.

 

Just how much military and financial aid was Mubarak given to oppress his own people? I think the figure was something in the region of billions per year.

 

And why did they do that, is it because the Palestinians keep sending rockets over? Actually, the Palestinians hit farmland and killed nobody so the Israelis bombed farmland and killed nobody.

total garbage. You don't know Israel at all. Many Israelis, whose forebears came from places like Iran and Iraq, etc of Middle Eastern origin are now reaching prominent positions in society. It took a while of course. But then the Arab Jewish diaspora came over later. Arab non-Jews can also get to high positions in the army, judiciary and in politics though probably not as many as should do. Christian Israeli Arabs have one of the better educational attainment levels of all Israelis and have a higher income level than a lot of religous Jewish ones. It turns out it's all about family size. If you have 8 kids, you'll be poor. If you only have a couple, you won't be.

Yes there are a very small portion of Arab Jews . However the vast majority are European Jews with no connection too the middle east .
