So, I would feel devastated and would surely want to do him the most severe harm. Which is precisely why I should play no part in how he is dealt with. I would be incapable of rational thought and emotion would doubtlessly be urging me to seek revenge. For the sake of others who may be undecided and come across the discussion. Questioning your position exposed it very quickly as being ill-conceived, lacking reason and rationality and being based upon the satisfaction of your own need to see violent revenge - none of which has a place in a civilised and just society. Not to mention that you have only just admitted that nothing will change your mind no matter what. At the beginning I did not know that. I find it very strange that you are comfortable admitting that nothing could change your mind as such absolutism and certainty is not compatible with reason and logic. If you knew me personally one of the first things you'd find is that i couldn't give a monkeys about what opinion others hold on me, i choose friends that think likewise and have no interest in liberal views like yours. I stand by my views and would happily help serve the justice i call for, i said that way back on page one, or maybe two. I have never claimed that my opinion is anything other than just that. I am, however, assuming that you were giving honest responses when you... ...gave this statement a thumbs up smiley - 'A man who kills his own born. Over a bet. His species and his DNA requires termination.' ...suggested that the Somali militia operated an acceptable model of justice ...suggested revenge, retribution and torture have a place in a just and civilised society ...suggested that we should operate state-sanctioned rape as a form of punishment ...stated that a just and civil society should not bother to strive to be better than its criminal elemant ...stated that there are some people who do not deserve fair trials or dispassionate justice and should be handed over to mob rule instead ...and stated that all of the above would give you A sense of satisfaction. I would add that it is quite clearly a fact that there are many holes in this model of yours, only some of which have been pointed out in this thread, and that you struggled to find adequate or credible answers when questioned.
