At the same time, though, the quartet of unlikely foodies will be raising money for Sheffield’s only hospice. For they are the competitors in the G Casino Hell’s Kitchen afternoon, the April 7 event that aims to give a serious cash boost to St Luke’s Hospice. ... And both will have support from a pair ...of Sheffield food loving bloggers who will help to turn their menus into a three course dinner for the event’s paying guests. "This is a fantastic way to support a vital charity and one that needs to raise more than £4.5 million every year just to stay open," said the hospice’s Corporate Fundraising manager Hannah Jordan. "We are very grateful to G Casino for hosting this event and providing the ingredients for what we hope will be a fantastic dining experience." It costs just £5 to secure a place at the dinner, though guests will be asked on the afternoon to make a donation based on what they think the finished meal is worth – and the winner will be the team that raises the larger amount.
