That's exactly what they are doing. The government are considering whether to ban them. If there isn't a blanket ban there will certainly be a requirement for some type of medical approval, where each brand will need to be passed as safe before a licence is granted for it to be imported.

In the meantime folks are taking a big chance by placing their health in the hands of Chinese quality control, which is legendary.

 

Would you buy an unapproved Chinese Asthma spray that you bought off the internet and fill yor lungs with any old crap that these bandits cared to put in it. Internet drugs are notorious for being unregulated health traps. If you are lucky your Viagra turns out to be sugar. If you are unlucky it might be caustic soda. So until E-cigs appear in Boots the Chemist with a BS kite mark you might be advised to stick to nicotine patches.

I too have heard of these devices exploding & yes I don't use them, but you asked about e cigs & evidence ,well if you read post no 28 that should help you.

 

On a separate note try not using things on your face DAILY, not the exploding worry, but it will dry your skin and you sound young, you don't want to look like an old prune at 40.

Awwww bless I'm just doing my hair as we speak - wet hair and a hair dryer plugged in to the mains. Not using them on a daily basis - nah not a prayer. Don't worry about my wrinkles I'm 42 and I haven't got them yet:D

You haven't upset me, far from it. I have asked now 3 times are you an ex smoker, smoker or non smoker and you are avoiding answering.

 

You have very firm opinions with regards to ecigs and so do I, but I express mine from my personal experience. I have no medical training, but the comparison of vaping and smoking is a no brainer in my opinion and my GP was more than happy that I have chosen vaping rather than smoking (She is medically trained)

I bought a brilliant solid gold Rolex watch whilst I was in Hong Kong. It came with full jewelled movement and even a Rolex guarantee. All for only $7. I can't really fault it apart from the gold going a bit rusty and the fingers going round backwards. You don't get that on the ones from HL Brown despite them charging £8,000.

The electrical components, may well be manufactured in China etc, but the 'juice' (which creates the vapour and inhaled) I use is purchased and made in the UK and contain about half a dozen ingredients that are all licensed for human consumption. In addition to buying ready mixed juices you can also create your own, which would mean that you know exactly what is going in them. So in actual fact it is not like buying an unapproved Chinese asthma spray. All my juices are ingredient listed from reputable companies here in the UK.

I have tried to get across; all the way that I'm not opposed to the e cigarettes, what I against is that the users be treat any differently than smokers. I feel they should both go outside as the law says for, real fags, & I'm an ex heavy smoker

But why should I go outside? I don't create noxious smells to the air or clothes of people around me. Neither do I pose a fire risk or again risk burning others with a lit cigarette. I don't create ash or butts or any mess for that matter. I have never had any issues with vaping in pubs and bars in the last 2 years and my best friend who is a non smoker and hates smoking is more than happy for me to vape in her house.

I know where you are coming from; it's just my opinion, my missus still "smokes" in kitchen, but not when kids here or I'm nearby. :)
