liza D
Does anyone know how to convert ordinary inches into cubic feet? If I have a round container that is 13 inches deep and 11 inches across, how many "cubic feet" is it? Looking at something on Ebay and some put normal inches and others put cubic feet for the size. Inches I'm ok with but trying to figure out what that means when they put cubic feet is a nightmare for me. And yes I have tried to Google it, no luck. alchresearch
Cubic feet needs three figures doesn't it? Hence the name "cube"ic. Two would be square feet.

HJL_Shef
Classic volume of a cylinder. Yes, ~0.7 cubic feet
cgksheff
1st calculate the volume of the cylinder to get a result in cubic inches. There are 12 x 12 x 12 = 1,728 cubic inches in one cubic foot. So divide your volume in cubic inches by 1,728 to get your answer in Cubic Feet.
Nagel
You either paid attention at school or you didn't although they probably don't teach this any more.
liza D
Obviously you have all misread my post. I don't care about the space inside the container I just want to know what 11x13 inches (normal ones not cubic) is in cubic feet. It's a bin like container that is 11 across and 13 deep. It is to compare to one that someone is advertising as 0.86 cubic feet to see if they are the same size or similar. Thanks
