This evening we are pleased to welcome another new performer to La Mama. Chris Goodwin - double bassist - has been a regular on the Sheffield Jazz scene for a number of years playing alongside pianist Ralph Salt. Having played mostly instrumental music from Bebop to Bossa Nova, Chris recently decided to start a new musical project with guest vocals, using material from the great American song book. Rob Coyne tonight's guest vocalist draws inspiration from the iconic Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack. Expect to hear driving improvisation during the up tempo numbers and lush harmony to accompany the band's slower ballads - modern Jazz interpretations of great compositions by the likes of Gershwin and Cole Porter. Music from 7pm, please phone ahead to reserve a table xx * Tapas Happy Hour - Monday all night and Tuesday to Thursday 6pm - 7.30pm - 4 Tapas for £12.
