Please help the Huntington's Community by signing this petition today.This is a degenerative terminal illness.I lost my 20 year old daughter to Juvenile Huntington's Disease in January this year.

 

It is twenty years since the Huntington's gene was identified and while researcher's hunt for effective treatments people are suffering now . It is enough to have to fight Huntington's disease everyday without fighting for benefits. This will get worse when the disability living allowance rules change . We are not scroungers or skivers but people who have lost their jobs , their families and will at some point lose their ability to eat , speak and walk and eventually our life. They will be left reliant on benefits because they inherited the Huntington gene . Many will have been care givers for a parent, a sibling or even a child with the juvenile form,so will not have had the opportunity to forge careers with good pensions or pay into private health care yet as care givers will have saved the state countless millions .
