Maxster
So each poor child's life is only worth for 2.5 years; why did they not get 6 life sentences? The corrupt copper gets 23 years but didn't kill anyone. Doesn't make sense; please explain?

juniee
and if you read the sentence correctly the 15 years is the minium that he will serve and he did go down for manslaughter not murder
Maxster
So manslaughter not murder; still seems wrong compared to stealing... perhaps it's just me.
Jeffrey Shaw
Problem: none of us has actually heard all the evidence- only what's been reported. So none of us can adjudge the verdict or sentence.

The corrupt copper gets 23 years but didn't kill anyone. Doesn't make sense; please explain? He didn't get 15 years - he got life with a minimum tariff of 15 years. He has to serve at least 15 years before he can be considered for parole but that does not mean that he will get parole. Personally I would be very surprised if he ever sees the outside of a prison again whether because of length of sentence or vigilante inmates. Maxster
and if you read the sentence correctly the 15 years is the minium that he will serve and he did go down for manslaughter not murder Yes I understand its life and that REALLY means he will never come out; I'm not that naive... Bypassblade
The scummer from Derby didn't go down for murder. But JFK they did a dummy run, so it was premeditated and it should have been murder mate.
