Should Prostitutes get equal Police protection?

Recommended Posts

Prostitutes, like any other section of society who effectively live 'outside of the law', do not work or pay taxes in the manner in which most of us do.

So, seeing as they refuse to live inside of the law and pay NI contributions and taxes like hardworking "9 to 5" people, do they deserve Police protection and A&E Hospital treatment as equally (or before those who are 'legitimate' victims of violence, burglary or fraud, etc) as those who do conform legally to society?

A bit like those silly s0ds that do dangerous sports then expect the RNLI, Mountain rescue and RN to save them?

As opposed to silly people that drive cars and expect to get cut out of accidents for free? Or those that play sensible healthy sports and have injuries as well? After all a death from rock climbing is cheap for the state compared to a lifetimes paraplegia from rugby...

Why stop there? Why not have a second tier health service for the unemployed/disabled/children?

After all, they don't work 9-5 or pay NI.

And what about those of us who work longer hours. I think I should have a better quality of service than you because of it.

And for that same reason, my vote should count more than yours.

Ditto, anyone who pays 40% tax should have a more influential vote (well, it's obvious, surely?)

See Opening Pandora's Box for further reflection. :D

Prostitution should be legalised and strictly controlled and yes they should be given protection.

Yes prostitutes should get equal protections and be able to access the NHS, and all other services that everybody else is.

The days of peter sutcliffe where the attitude of the police chief who said something like 'normal women had now something to fear as he had moved on from prostitutes to ordinary women' are hopefully over.

Sadly for you their prices would likely rise because now they would have to pay tax, have regular health checks, use clean approved buildings. :)

Naaaaaaaaaaah they could claim it as "expenses", and claim back the VAT :hihi:

How can any part of you honestly think that someone who contributes absolutely nothing to society can equally access the NHS and have the same as say a pensioner who has paid tax all there life and maybe fought in wars for us is beyond me .
